The information procured under RTI Act also revealed that JDA incurred an expenditure of over Rs 1.21 crore on advertisements for inviting applications for bookings and architects' consultation fee. Apart from repaying the loan, the state government eyed to earn a profit also from development of the project but with the poor response it may end up losing money in it, said sources. JALANDHAR: Launched amid much hype, the scheme of Punjab government to commercially exploit the site of the old central jail in Jalandhar, which was also mortgaged to Punjab and Sind Bank to raise a loan of Rs 400 crores, came to a naught with very poor response to the proposed high-end flats.
